Wolfman j.d.o.o.’s offer and concept for organizing the Split Festival in 2023, along with projections for 2024 and 2025, were accepted by the Council of the Tourist Board of Split in response to a call for organization. This marks the first time in 16 years that a new team will be entrusted with the festival’s organization, signaling a desire to rejuvenate the program and bring new energy to Prokurative.
Wolfman was established in 2012 as a company that specializes in arranging cultural and musical events. Its founder and director, Stevo Vučković, also known as Stivi, is a musician and guitarist, best known as a member of the band Stivideni. Stivi discovered his passion for music in his early teens and was captivated by the sound of the electric guitar, which ultimately led him to pursue a career in music.
During the 1980s, Stivi actively participated in Split’s rock scene and formed several blues and rock bands. In the early 1990s, he expanded his focus to music production and created numerous radio jingles that continue to be played today. In 1994, Stivi co-founded the band Stivideni with Denis Bižaca and Boris Hrepić Hrepa. The group released three albums and performed extensively throughout the region for seven years. Stivi also successfully coordinated Stivideni's performances with those of Goran Karan, for whom he played guitar in the supporting band.
Stivi’s rich musical experience, five nominations for the Porin award, and boundless energy inspired him to enhance the Split music scene by organizing musical events.
Which projects were carried out by Wolfman?
Wolfman, a company with an impressive portfolio, has conceptualized and organized a variety of cultural events. This includes 12 Split Blues Festivals, 5 Split Open Jazz Fairs, 7 Zlatni Grgur, 3 Tri Grgura i 9 urban culture shows Evo ruke. In addition, Wolfman was responsible for the opening of Špancirfest 2016 in Varaždin and produced 24 shows of the Split Blues Festival for Croatian television. Collaborating with national theaters in Split and Varaždin, Wolfman has successfully organized a few other cultural projects.
